A10 – Cybersecurity for industrial systems

Date : Monday, January 28, 2013

Time : 15h00-16h00

Hosted by : Bertrand GARE (L’Informaticien)

The discovery of Stuxnet in 2010 shed light on the vulnerabilities of SCADA systems. These industrial supervisory control and data acquisition systems were considered to be “safe” as they were isolated from the Internet and used specific communication protocols and technologies. Stuxnet now challenges these certainties. What are the risks linked to SCADA systems used, in particular, in the railway transport sector or the energy sector? How can such vulnerabilities be reduced?
