A new round table dedicated to governance of the cyberspace

  • One round table about “Geopolitics of the cyberspace” will take place on Monday 28th January at 11h15. It will gather Kave Salamatian, professor at the University of Savoie, Jean-Jacques Lavenue, the director of IREENAT (University of Lille 2), general (2S) Daniel Schaeffer, consultant and specialist of China, Frédérick Douzet, lecturer at the French Institute of Geopolitics (University Paris 8), and Bertrand de la Chapelle, Internet and Jurisdiction Project Director at the International Diplomatic Academy and member of the ICANN board.

    Chaired by François-Bernard Huygue of IRIS, this round table will focus on the evolution of the great balances of cyberspace and the emergence of several blocks.

    A second round table addressing “Governance in the cyberspace” will take place on Monday 28th January at 15h. It will bring together Jean-François Blarel, deputy secretary-general of the French Foreign Affairs Minister, Neno Malisevic, cybersecurity officer at OSCE, Jérémie Zimmerman, co-founder and spokesperson of La Quadrature du Net, and Bertrand de la Chapelle, Internet and Jurisdiction Project Director at the International Diplomatic Academy and member of the ICANN board.

    Led by Loïc Damilaville, deputy Director General of AFNIC, this round table will deal more precisely with the consequences of these evolutions for governance.
